The Fairbanks Institute established a Community Outreach and Engagement Committee to serve as a channel for the flow of information between the Fairbanks Institute and the community. The Fairbanks Institute has engaged Indiana community leaders to encourage participation of minority groups in the Indiana Health Study to make the platform ethnically diverse and include populations that have been historically underrepresented in population-based research.
